Stacey Campbell - special memo to the Canadian Prophetic Council

Hello Everyone,
I am writing this letter en route home from the Azusa Street Centennial in Los Angeles (for a report, please see www.heroresources.com under the Prophetic News (global) section.) Following this event I flew to Sacramento, where I did a conference with Patricia King. I do not know if all of you have heard about the recent controversy concerning Patricia, but she has been under significant scrutiny by various people regarding her teachings on the Third Heaven. I wanted to write you all so you can be aware of my personal thoughts and feelings on the subject.
First of all, I want to affirm that I have known Patricia for several years, she has been based out of our home church, and Wesley and I are her pastors and on her Advisory Board. It is unfortunate the amount of swirl that has surrounded her re-introduction of some of the prophetic experiences of the Bible. Being a language teacher, I understand the difficulty in translating from one language to another, especially when there are culturalisms and colloquialisms that are inherent within one language and not in another. I believe that this is the root of some of the “Patricia King” controversy (ie: a language barrier); some of the controversy has been on the hearer's part, in misinterpreting or misunderstanding what has been said; some of the controversy has been a bit of “zeal, but not according to knowledge” (Rom. 10:2), meaning the introduction of topics without sufficient Scriptural explanation; some of the controversy has been the way people have passed things on without speaking to Patricia directly about what she actually teaches and believes. Possibly, the latter is the greatest source of the controversy.
Whatever the source, I am writing this letter to state that I have spoken directly to Patricia about most of the controversial issues. As a result of my dialogues with her, I am convinced that she is orthodox in her theology and maintains the highest standards in her Christian character. I would be happy to talk with any of you the specifics of our dialogue if any of you want more information. (You can simply reply to this e-mail and tell me the best way to get ahold of you).
You are also free to review the internal audit she has done of her ministry on her website: http://www.extremeprophetic.com/conflict_home.htm
I believe we need to honor and cover one another, unless there is sin or false teaching. I am convinced that we have neither in this controversy. However, “all things work together for good to them that love the Lord.” We can all improve and learn from the difficulties that are thrown our way (James 1:2-4). Ultimately, they all work to mature us into more Christ-likeness if we submit ourselves to the Lord in times such as these.
Sincerely,
Stacey Campbell |

Letter of response from Dr. David S.T. Collins, Th. D |

Hi Patricia and Team
It was interesting to read your statements and responses. Our Church was very sedate bordering on
conservative before we had a remarkable visitation and since this, we have been involved with others in
the forefront of the Glory manifestations in our nation and with this the repercussions that always follow.
We have seen people c aught up in a trance, dream, or vision into heaven and the t hrone room,
sometimes by direction e.g. a command from anointed ministry and also laying on of hands and sometimes
with a sovereign touch of God. We have seen amazing healing release in these visitations. We have seen
the Gold Dust, we have seen oil pour down walls, we have seen gems, etc. There has been the release
of "Throne Room Revelation , " of which a revelation on the role of the great cloud of
witnesses was a part . I wrote a Thesis on the Book of Hebrews” as part of the Doctorate requirement,
and since the opening of the Heavenly realm much of my understanding of this amazing book has had to be
revised. I ask fellow theologians to have an open mind. Peter had a closed theology on the eating of
certain foods and ministry to the Gentiles before he was caught up in a trance and was commanded by the
Lord to see this from a new perspective.
I applaud Patricia for her accountability and her humility and her submission to people of authority
around her. It is my opinion that there are amazing developments happening in the realm
of the Church . W e are not going to just transition into this by a paradigm shift , but as in
the natural process of metamorphosis, we are going to "Burst" into a new dimension.
The Lord is at the helm , in the visitation we had in our Church all my theories were challenged,
God didn't ask for my opinion or my permission or the permission of other theologians before he
just did it.
So much that we are seeing and will see, ( for the best is yet to come ) , comes in the category
of the "Greater things" of scripture, Doctrine and Theology is to guide the actions and
statements of man , not the actions of God, He has and always will do what He wants to do. He is the
Word, He is Revelation.
Much of our doctrine and our theology has been shaped and developed on the pattern of a parallel
religious framework and we have evaluated scripture with the plumb-line of our religious experience
and those things we have been taught , we then shoehorn scripture to fit our dogma, to put it bluntly,
our doctrinal opinions and our theology can be is warped , even though our intentions are well meaning.
The whole influence on dispensationalism in holding people back from the Pentecostal move,
(the Baptism in the Holy Spirit) is a classic example of this and there are many more. Nearly
every new move, or revelation, has been rejected by those of a previous move, or revelation
Since Martin Luther, the Church has moved forward because brave m e n and women have dared to
stand up and move forward in the face of the dogmas of the day and many have been persecuted and
died even in the dark ages, before Martin Luther, because they made the ir stand. We need to be
accountable to people of vision , people who are open to unfolding revelation which is going
to "Snowball" as timelessness wraps around time, the supernatural around the natural.
I ask fellow theologians to be watchmen who will test those things that are developing as we move
into the last days, not on our past preconceptions, but on our knees as we search diligently the
scriptures, as though we are chipping away at a raw diamond, excited because there are new facets
yet to be seen. Don't hit out, examine and talk things through, talk to those you find difficult
to accept. I have been one who has hit out, and then in the light on new revelation on scripture
had to go back and put right.
Acts 5:34-39 But a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law, who was honored by all the people,
stood up in the Sanhedrin and ordered that the men be put outside for a little while. Then he
addressed them: "Men of Israel, consider carefully what you intend to do to these men.
Some time ago Theudas appeared, claiming to be somebody, and about four hundred men rallied to him.
He was killed, all his followers were dispersed, and it all came to nothing. After him, Judas the
Galilean appeared in the days of the census and led a band of people in revolt. He too was killed,
and all his followers were scattered. Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men
alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail.
But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop
these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God."
We are moving in to a revelation of God's Glory that will defy
the dogmas of religion and much of our "understanding" of scripture. Let us consider
things carefully, before our God and move forward together.
